Beauty is in the Eye of the Box-holder | beauty subscription boxes

Nothing beats the excitement generated by the thud of a box of beauty products hitting the doormat; particularly when you add the element of surprise you get by signing up to a monthly beauty subscription box. There are many to choose from, ranging from high-end to budget; some vegan; many eco-friendly. Which one is for you? Here is an overview of a few we found when trawling the web (we’ve got beauty on our brains!).

Birchbox is one of the more popular subscription boxes, and rightly so. Its low price point makes it accessible to many people, and there are often discounts available for new subscribers. Each month you receive five beauty products personalised to your skin, hair and style, in a beautiful keepsake box. Plus, as a member, you get discounts off branded beauty products in the Birchbox shop. Birchbox is £12.95 a month, with discounts available for 3 and 6-monthly sign-ups.

Look Fantastic

Look Fantastic promises that each box contains more than £50 worth of curated beauty products. Choose from a one, three, six or twelve-month rolling subscription, starting from just £12 a month. Each subscription comes with exclusive discounts, and a monthly beauty box magazine.

The Cruelty Free Beauty Box

The Cruelty Free Beauty Box is a 100% cruelty-free and vegan company. Their guilt-free subscription box arrives in eco-friendly packaging, including plantable seeded paper. The boxes range from the plastic-free Mini Box, which contains between three and six products, to the Deluxe Box containing seven to twelve products. One box is delivered every two months, with prices starting at £21.

Glossybox process start at just £8.50 a month, with each box containing 5 products worth over £50. Glossybox partners with Look Fantastic to earn you points to spend in their online store, so it’s a win-win!

A LoveLula beauty box subscription allows you to try out different natural beauty brands and products each month, including cleansers and solid shampoo and conditioner bars. A one-off box costs £19.95, or you can save money by choosing a longer subscription length.
