Subscription Box Review | Degustabox (May)

The May box from Degustabox is full of delicious looking treats, which I couldn’t wait to review.  Let’s have a closer look…!

What is it?
Degustabox is a way of trialing new products.  Every month your Degustabox includes a variety of 10 to 15 surprise products, many of which are completely new to the market.  They work with lots of recognised brands, as well and up and coming companies to supply their customers with the latest treats.

How does it work?
Subscribe online, and you will be sent a surprise box!  You can’t choose what’s in the box (but that’s half the fun of subscription boxes, right??)  You can earn points towards free boxes by encouraging others to purchase a subscription, and by giving your opinion on products in the box.

Thoughts?
Once again, the Degustabox it’s a triumph.  Everything was packaged really nicely and safely (any item that could possibly leak was protected in individual bubble wrapped packaging).  It’s the box that just keeps on giving!

The Brioche Pasquier crossiants were wrapped in 2’s, so perfect for taking out and about.  Mrs Crimbles Classic Madeleine‘s are individually wrapped, so would be great for lunchboxes or for your bag.  The Pechkeks Misfortune Cookies were quirky, and tasted like Oreo!  We’ve yet to try the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Glaze BBQ Sauce but will be doing so this weekend!  Beloved Date Nectar is a alternative to sugar to use in baking, in your tea etc.  I’ve used dates before in baking, and they do the job perfectly!  I’d imagine that these are an extension of that.  2 cutes bags of Wonderful almonds and pistacchios.  The Get Fruity bar was moist and delicious.  I wasn’t too sure about the Cranes Cranberry / Strawberry & Kiwi drink; it might be a little sweet for me.  I do love a rice cake, and the Kallo Milk Chocolate Corn Cakes and Kallo Yoghurt Topped Rice Cakes were devoured pretty quickly!  It was a treat to have a generous portion of posh pasta, and the Garofalo fusilli bucati corti pasta tasted authentic.  You can definitely tell the difference between this and the supermarket own-brand stuff.  I wasn’t keen on the Pomegreat pomegranate juice, but that’s a taste thing; I don’t like pomegranates!  If you do, you’ll love it, i’m sure.

It’s a great box, and well worth getting if you want to try new products.
