Subscription Box Review | Degustabox (September)

It’s September, and time for a peek inside another Degustabox!

What is it?
Degustabox is a way of trialing new products.  Every month your Degustabox includes a variety of 10 to 15 surprise products, many of which are completely new to the market.  They work with lots of recognised brands, as well and up and coming companies to supply their customers with the latest treats.

How does it work?
Subscribe online, and you will be sent a surprise box!  You can’t choose what’s in the box (but that’s half the fun of subscription boxes, right??)  You can earn points towards free boxes by encouraging others to purchase a subscription, and by giving your opinion on products in the box via the monthly survey you are sent.

What’s in the box?
The September box had some lovely items in it:

Hartley’s – 4x jelly pots
Say Yes to No – sour cream and onion toasted bread chips
Cirio – Borlotti Beans (x3)
Teisseire – raspberry & cranberry sirop

Get Fruity Bar – marvellous mango
Metcalfe’s popcorn thins – milk chocolate

Thoughts?
Once again, everything was packaged together really nicely (any item that could possibly leak was protected in individual bubble wrapped packaging) and I love that it’s just sealed with a single sticker that says “Open Me, Eat Me, Enjoy Me!”

4 pots of yummy Hartley’s jelly were the first thing I noticed in this months box! They’re the market leader when it comes to jelly, and it’s not hard to taste why.

I loved loved LOVED the Say Yes to No sour cream and onion toasted bread chips!  They were devoured by me in one sitting (my husband didn’t even get a look in!).  So crunchy and moreish.

Great to have the Cirio Borlotti Beans in the box this month.  These will make a great addition to a casserole.

Teisseire cordial was up next.  A raspberry & cranberry flavour that was a welcome change to my usual cordial.  I’m not so keen on the packaging on this one… I thought it looked a bit like an air freshener.  But apart from that, the taste was nice.

The Cape Drinks came in 2 flavours; Sparkling Pineapple & Passionfruit with Rooibos Tea / Sparkling Peach & Lychee with Rooibos Tea.  Both tasted very sweet to me.  They were just lightly sparkling, which was nice.

Chia seeds are supposed to be a super food, aren’t they?  So it was nice to see the little trial packets of Chia Bia with both Whole & Milled Chia Seed

I love a quick snack.  And with a toddler, it’s not always possible to sit and have a “proper meal”.  So the Mrs Crimble’s Fusilli with a Gourmet Mushroom Sauce was handy to have in.  I thought it might taste a bit funny with it being gluten free, but that wasn’t the case.  Yum!

Emily Crisps are great!  I loved the crunchy banana (my son did too)  They were thicker than you would expect a fruit crisp to be, which was great!

The Get Fruity Bar was sweet and delicious.  Perfect for when you have a sweet craving!

I’ve had Metcalfe’s popcorn thins before and already knew that I would love them.  They are an ace snack and great to have in for when you have a chocolate craving!

How much does it cost?
